Books I Love

Here is a short list of books I love, in no particular order:
  • Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
  • Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
  • Cold Mountain by Charles Fraizer
  • Billy Lynn's Long Half-Time Walk by Ben Fountain
  • Anything written by Macolm Gladwell
  • Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis by J.D. Vance
  • Les Miserables by Victor Hugo*
  • Liar's Poker by Michael Lewis and most of this other books, like The Big Short
  • Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple
  • The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
  • Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell (young adult)
  • Range: Why Generalists Triumph in a Specialized World by David Epstein
  • Untamed by Glennon Doyle
  • The Buried Giant by Kazuo Ishiguro
  • The Diana Chronicles by Tina Brown -- I never understood all of the hoopla surrounding Princess Diana until I read this book.  Tina Brown is British and had lived in the U.S. for twenty years when she wrote this book.  She explains the British royalty to Americans. I loved it.
Feel free to make recommendations!

* I am having a long-term relationship with Les Mis. Haven't finished it yet.
